Concerned Parents Alliance, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. The CPA focuses on student and parent/family empowerment by building self-esteem, monitoring academic grades, providing customized college tours, community service awareness, leadership development, college readiness topics, including, but not limited to paying for college, knowing the rules, A-G college requirements, organizational skills, public speaking and much more. Most of this work is done through our College Bound programs.
Title of Scholarship: Bobbie Jones Scholarship Award
Amount of Scholarship: Award amounts vary
- Must be a graduating senior scholar in the College Bound Hayward, Oceanside, Poway or Tracy Programs
- Must be in good standing in the College Bound Program
- Must be enrolled with a minimum of 12 units in a Four-Year College or University or Community College
- Must complete an online application and mail a brag sheet and official transcript to the CPA, Inc. at the address listed below. (Note: Official transcript must be in an officially sealed envelope or sent directly from a counselor)
- Must attend the affiliated CB Finale Program with parent, guardian and/or responsible adult
Deadline for Receipt:
Completed application packet must be submitted online no later than April 15, 2018 to be considered. All supporting documents (Brag Sheet and Official Transcript) must be postmarked by April 15, 2018 and mailed to:

Method of Scholarship Disbursement:
Winners must present confirmation of enrollment at a four-year college or university or Community College to receive their awards. Confirmation of enrollment must be received by September 30, 2018 at the above address or by emailing a copy of the enrollment verification to firstname.lastname@example.org. Winners forfeit scholarship award if the deadline is not met.
Please Note: Scholarship Awards will be mailed to awardees within 10 days of receipt of enrollment confirmation.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ESSAY QUESTION
Bobbie Jones lived her life to the fullest. She unexpectedly died at the young age of 53 on September 28, 2017. She loved her entire family dearly and loved to cook in her spare time. She proudly served as the family member who brought family together. Bobbie loved her career serving as an Officer for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and displayed excellent work ethics as she led by example for her team who was committed to making a difference. Bobbie’s family is committed to keeping her memory, hard work and life alive therefore they have committed to raising monies for this CB scholarship.
